Amico spoke to softball teams from Montgomery and surrounding areas about the importance of keeping Christ as a top priority on and off the field. Along with the Lady Knights, softball teams from PCA, ACA, and Trinity attended this breakfast.

This past weekend, the Macon East Lady Knights played host to an 8 team tournament with incredible competition. MEA began the weekend against region opponent, Fort Dale Academy. The Lady Knights defeated the Lady Eagles 10-0. In the second winner's bracket game, the Lady Knights took on the Glenwood Gators for the third time in tournament play. The game went into the 8th inning, but the Lady Knights prevailed with a 2-out hit off the bat of Senior, Haley Floyd, to win the game 2-1.
On Saturday, the Macon East Lady Knights dedicated the tournament to former MEA student and teammate, Hartley Carter. Friday marked the one year anniversary of her death, and in memory of her, the Lady Knights' Softball team, the Varsity Baseball team, and both Boys' and Girls' Soccer teams released balloons.
This time last year, the Lady Knights dropped out of the tournament in honor of her, and this year, the tournament was dedicated to her memory. The first game of the afternoon was a 10-0 route of Marengo Academy. After this win, the Lady Knights awaited the winner of the bottom half of the bracket. The championship game began at 8:15, taking on the Marengo Longhorns once again. Through 5 full innings of play, there was no score, but in the bottom of the 6th inning, the Lady Knights came to life offensively scoring 6 runs, and eventually getting the win by that final! The Lady Knights accepted their 1st Place Trophy with their former classmate in mind and quickly said a prayer before snapping pictures!
