GIRLS- First Round of the AISA State Playoffs Macon East 6-Morgan 0 Game played at Macon East
In the first year of the AISA State Playoffs, for girls, Macon East came away with a first round win. Macon East and Morgan Academy played a defensive game in the first half, with a score of 0-0. Eight minutes into the second half Macon's Dallas Sanders found the back of the net to put Macon up 1-0 (assisted by Rai Pritchett). Two minutes later, Sanders found the goal again on a pass from Addison Folmar. Sixteen seconds later, Sanders stole the ball and completed her hat trick. The fourth goal was scored by Emily Kyser and was assisted by Savannah Driver. The fifth goal came in the twenty ninth minute when Avery Dearing crossed the ball to Sanders again, giving Sanders her fourth goal of the night. With two minutes left in the game, Ashley Mathis scored to finish 6-0. Macon East improves to 5-4 on the season and will face Ft. Dale in the Final Four on Friday. That game will take place at 4pm at the AUM Soccer Complex.
BOYS- First Round of AISA State Playoffs Macon East 3-Hooper 2 Game played at Macon East
Macon East started the game off on a strong note controlling the tempo. Eight minutes into the game Jem Stubblefield found the back of the net and was assisted by Trent O'Malley. The scored remained 1-0 into halftime. One minute into the second half Stubblefield found the goal again, this time assisted by Jonathan Kyser to give Macon a 2-0 lead. At the eight minute mark Hooper's Andy Lin scored to make it 2-1. One minute later Macon's Daniel Lee scored on a penalty kick to give Macon the two goal lead back. Three minutes later, Hooper's Jesse Jonassen scored to make the game 3-2. Macon's defense led by Payton Shoemaker held tight for the last twenty five minutes to give Macon East the first round victory. Macon East improves to 7-6 and will also face Ft. Dale in the Final Four on Friday. That game will also be played at the AUM Soccer Complex, at 6pm.

Macon East 0- Ft. Dale 6
Ft. Dale was led by Christen McKeague as sage scored 5 of their goals. Lauren Gibson added the other goal for Ft. Dale. Ft. Dale had a 3-0 lead at halftime and scored 3 more times in the second half. Macon East falls to 4-4 (2-2 in region) and will play on Tuesday at home in the first round of the AISA playoffs against Morgan Academy. That game will be played at 5:30.
BOYS
Macon East 2-Ft. Dale 3
The first half was a defensive battle between both sides as they played to a 0-0 tie. I the second half, Ft. Dale's Brandon Brown scored five minutes in. One minute later, Ft. Dale scored again off the foot of Price Jones. About ten minutes late Ft. Dale took a 3-0 lead by a second goal from Brandon Brown. With ten minutes left in the game, Macon East's William Kennedy scored to make it 3-1. With four minutes left Noland McNeely (assisted by Daniel Lee) cut the scored to 3-2. Macon had several chances in the last four minutes but just couldn't find the back of the net. Macon falls to 6-6 (5-3 in the region). Macon will play on Tuesday at home in the first round of the AISA playoffs against Hooper Academy. That game will be played at 7:30.

Macon East 2-Hooper 1
Macon East took a 1-0 lead with a penalty kick scored by Emily Bianchi 10 minutes into the first half. With dive minutes left in the half, Rai Pritchett scored to give Macon a 2-0 lead (assisted by Dallas Sanders). In the second half Hooper's Beth Peel scored to make it 2-1. Macon East improves to 4-3 (2-2 in region) and will play on Thursday at Ft. Dale to finish the regular season. The girls will host their first ever playoff game next Tuesday against Morgan at 5:30.
BOYS
Macon East 1-Hooper 3
Macon East scored first with a goal by Daniel Lee and was assisted by Noland McNeely. With five minutes left in the half, Hooper's Conner Childs tied the game at 1. In the second half, Hooper's Daniel Jackson and Jesse Jonassen added goals to give Hooper the 3-1 victory. Macon East falls to 6-5 (5-3 in region). Macon will play again at Ft. Dale on Thursday. Macon's boys will also host a playoff game next Tuesday, with the opponent to be determined.

Macon East 2- Morgan 1
Macon East and Morgan played to a 0-0 halftime score. Three minutes into the second half Morgan took a 1-0 lead off the foot of Lauren Rutherford. Twenty minutes later Macon tied the game with a goal by Ashley Mathis and was assisted by Addison Folmar. With five minutes left in the game Dallas Sanders gave the Knights the lead with an assist by Emily Kyser. Macon East improves to 2-3 (1-2 in region). Macon East girls play again on Monday at Ft. Dale, at 5pm.
BOYS
Macon East 5- Morgan 0
Macon East took the lead 24 minutes into the game off a header by Jem Stubblefield, and was assisted by Jonathan Kyser. Macon took the 1-0 lead into halftime, and in the second half it was all Knights. Six minutes in Jonathan Kyser found the net (assisted by Nolan McNeely), four minutes later Jem Stubblefield scored again, six more minutes passed and Daniel Lee scored (assisted by Trent O'Malley), and with four minutes left in the game Jem Stubblefield finished his hat trick (assisted by Karson Loomis). Macon East improves to 4-3 (3-2 in region), and will play again on Tuesday, at home against Lyman Ward @ 4pm.

Macon East 0- Glenwood 8
Game played at Glenwood
Glenwood dominated Macon East tonight with 3 goals in the first half and 5 in the second. Glenwood was led by Alaina Crowder and Emily Robertson both with hat tricks. The other two goals came from Jenna Wilson and Emma Lee Gullatt. Glenwood improves to 5-0 (3-0 in region) and Macon East falls to 1-3 (1-2 in region). Macon East plays again tomorrow at home against Morgan at 1:00.
BOYS
Macon East 2- Glenwood 3 in OT
Glenwood scored first in the 18th minute off the foot of Mikey Starke. Six minutes later Macon answered back with a goal by Trent O'Malley, on a free kick. In the 30th minute Starke put in another goal to give Glenwood the lead back. Just three minutes later Macon answered again with a goal bu Jem Stubblefield and was assisted by Noland McNeely. The score remained 2-2 throughout the second half and first OT. With 1 minute left in the second OT, Starke completed his hat trick. Glenwood improves to 5-1 (5-0 in region)and and Macon East falls to 3-3 (3-2 in region). Macon East plays again tomorrow at home against Morgan at 3:00.

Game played in Dothan
In the fifth minute of the game Macon East scored off the foot of Daniel Lee (assisted by Noland McNeely). Macon took a 2-0 lead at the 20 minute mark with a goal by Noland McNeely (assisted by Jem Stubblefield). In the second half Daniel Lee scored again off a penalty kick. The fourth goal came off a corner kick by Trent O'Malley and headed in by Noland McNeely. Macon East improves to 2-2 (2-1 in the region). Macon plays next Tuesday at home against Lee-Scott at 6pm.

Macon East 3- Lyman Ward 2 in OT
Game was played at Camp Hill
Lyman Ward took a 1-0 lead with a goal at the 15 minute mark of the first half. With 58 seconds left in the first half Macon East tied the game with a penalty kick by Daniel Lee. Macon East took a 2-1 lead with 15 seconds left in the half with another penalty kick scored by Daniel Lee. Lyman Ward tied the game at 2 with 20 minutes left in the second half. In the first five minute overtime Daniel Lee completed his hat trick, and was assisted by Noland McNeely. Macon East improves to 1-1 (1-0 in the region) and Lyman Ward falls to 1-1 (1-1 in the region. Macon East plays again on Tuesday at home against Glenwood @ 7.
