The Macon East Knights played in the 2012 State Championship game against the Lee-Scott Warriors at the Wire Road Soccer Complex. The Knights were defeated 4-0 and claimed the State Runner-Up trophy in just it's second year as a team! Congratulations to Coach Baubles, Coach Johnson, and the Knights' Soccer Team on an incredible season!

Boys- AISA State Playoffs- Final Four
Macon-East 1, Lyman Ward 0 in overtime. Game was played in Auburn at the Wire Road Soccer Complex.
Macon-East got outstanding defensive play from Carson Jung, Cole Pinkston, Karson Loomis, and Trent O'Malley. Goaltender Grant Till had an amazing game stopping everything that Lyman Ward shot. At the end of regulation the game was tied at 0. About 3 minutes into the first overtime period Macon-East got what proved to be the game winning goal off the foot of KJ Jeon, and he was assisted by JD Owings. For the last seven minutes of the game, Macon's defense held tight giving us the 1-0 win. Macon-East improves to 11-4 on the season and will face Lee-Scott in the state championship game tomorrow at 2, at the Wire Road Soccer Complex in Auburn.

Boys- First Round of AISA State Playoffs
Macon-East 3 (10-4), Prattville Christian 2 in overtime. Game was played at Macon-East. Macon-East got the game started off with a goal 21 minutes into the first half off the foot of JD Owings, and he was assisted by Trey Golson. Prattville Christian tied the game a couple minutes later with a goal by Robert Dewitt. Macon then scored with 2 minutes in the half, from a half field shot by Justin Kyser. He was assisted by KJ Jeon. Macon took the 2-1 led into halftime. About 20 minutes into the second half Prattville Christian's Nathan Graham tied the game at 2. At the end of regulation the score remained 2-2. Neither team could find the back of the net in the first 5 minute overtime. In the second 5 minute overtime, with 30 seconds left, Macon's Kevin Jeon found the back of the net on a cross by Trent O'Malley. The game was just 30 seconds away from penalty kicks! This gives Macon-East their first ever playoff win (second year program), and helps them advance to the final 4. Macon-East will play Lyman Ward at 2pm on Friday, in that final 4 game. The final 4 and the championship will be played at the Wire Road Soccer Complex in Auburn. Both final 4 games will be played on Friday at 2, and the championship will be played at 2 on Saturday.

Macon-East 2 (9-4), Lee-Scott 5 (14-1)
Game was played at Macon-East, and was a continuation of a game two weeks ago that was delayed do to storms. Two weeks ago, we were able to play 12 minutes of the game and Lee-Scott was leading 1-0. That goal was scored by Kyle Smith and was assisted by Chris Garner. At the end to the first half today, Lee-Scott had a 4-0 lead. The second goal also came from Kyle Smith and was assisted by Chris Garner again. Goal three was scored by Ryan Rawley and was assisted by Brock Hudson. Goal four was scored by Chris Garner and was assisted by Ryan Rawley. Macon's first goal came just twp minutes into the second half on a free kick by Trey Golson. Lee-Scott then scored their fifth goal off the head of Kyle Smith and was assisted by Taekgi Kim. Macon's second goal came from JD Owings on a one on one break away. That ends the regular season for both teams. Both teams will host first round playoff games on Tuesday. Lee-Scott will host Tuscaloosa Academy at 4pm, and Macon-East will host either Autauga Academy or Prattville Christian at 6pm.

Macon-East 1 (9-3), Pike Liberal 0 (3-5-2)
Game was played at Pike. The first half ended with a 0-0 tie, as both defenses came ready to play. Macon got a goal in the fourth minute of the second half off the foot of Daniel Lee, which came from a throw in by Jonathan Kyser. The shutout was preserved with an outstanding performance by goalie Grant Till. With the win, Macon-East has guaranteed themselves a spot in the AISA State playoffs that start next Tuesday. Macon's next game is Friday at home against Lee-Scott.

Macon-East 2 (8-3), Springwood School 1 (0-9). Game was played at Springwood.
Macon got 2 second half goals from JD Owings to lift Macon-East past Springwood 2-1. JD's first goal came 18 mins into the second half and was assisted by Trey Golson. He scored his second about 10 mins later to give Macon-East a 2-0 lead. Springwood scored with 2 mins left in the game off the head of Trevor McCullough. Macon-East will play tomorrow at Pike Liberal, at 5 pm.

Macon-East 9 (7-3), Morgan Academy 0 (0-7). Game was played in Selma.
Macon got an offensive outburst by JD Owings as he scored 4 goals. His first three came in the first half and were assisted by Daniel Lee (1st goal), Justin Kyser (2nd goal), and his third was unassisted. Macon had a 3-0 lead at half. JD Owings scored his fourth goal off a corner by Trey Golson to give Macon a 4-0 lead. Fifth goal was scored by Carson Jung (unassisted). Sixth goal was scored by Daniel Lee and was assisted by KJ Jeon. Seventh goal was scored by Cole Pinkston and was assisted off a throw-in by Jonathan Kyser. Eighth goal was scored by Payton Shoemaker (unassisted). The final goal came from William Kennedy and was assisted by Payton Shoemaker. The shutout was preserved by goalie Grant Till. Macon's next game is Monday April 2nd at Springwood School.
Girls/Coed
Morgan Academy 4, Macon-East 1.
Morgan lead at the half 2-0 with goals from Diyan Patel and Sarah Frasier. Morgan scored their third goal off the foot of Diyan Patel. Macon-East then added one goal by Ashtyn Kennedy on a free kick. Morgan scored their fourth and final goal off the foot of Stanhope Frasier. That finishes the girls season for Macon-East. They finished with a record of 2-6.

Lee-Scott scored 6 goals in the first half, and 4 in the second half. Lee-Scott's goals were score by Brackin Stewart (3), Saylor Knight (2), Jeung-Ho Choi (2), Arthur Albuquerque, Liam McGlynn, and Ryan Smith each added one. Macon's goal came in the second halfoff off the foot of Morgan Sweat, and was assisted by Ashtyn Kennedy. Macon-East is now 2-5 and will play again tomorrow at Morgan Academy.

Macon-East beats Lyman Ward by a final score of 1-0. Game was played at Lyman Ward. Macon's goal came from Daniel Lee who got the chance to score when the ball bounced off the goalie's hands with 20 minutes left in the first half. Macon's defense was anchored by Carson Jung, Evan Shaffer, Cole Pinkston, Trent O'Malley, and goal keeper Grant Till. Macon's next game is Thursday night at home against Lee-Scott.

Game was at Macon-East.
Macon jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal by Trey Golson. About 5 minutes later Macon-East's Daniel Lee added a goal and was assisted by Jonathan Kyser. The 2-0 halftime lead did not last. Prattville Christian's Dylan Bruner scored two goals to tie the game at 2. Macon's Kevin Jeon scored the game winner with 10 minutes left. Macon-East's next game is Monday at Lyman Ward.

Macon's Ashtyn Kennedy scored and was assisted by Emily Bianchi. Macon-East lead 1-0 at half and most of the second half until Mollie Hamilton scored with about 10 minutes left. Prattville Christian's Rachael Gibbs scored with about 5 minutes to play. Macon-East's next game is at home on Thursday March 22 against Lee-Scott.

Game was played at Prattville Christian.
In our second year as a program, Macon-East girls earn their first win in school history with a 2-0 victory over PCA. Macon-East took a 1-0 lead with a goal by Emily Kyser and she was assisted by Kali Holland. Macon's second goal came in the second half off the foot of Ashleigh Worthington and was assisted by Mollie Hamilton. The shut out was preserved by goalie Mason Estes. Macon-East is now 1-4 on the season. We play again on Saturday at home against Prattville Christian, at 3pm.

Macon-East against Glenwood School at Macon-East. Macon-East 5, Glenwood School 1. Macon-East got things started with a goal from JD Owings, assisted by Daniel Lee. Macon took the 1-0 lead into halftime. Macon's second goal came unassisted off the foot of Kevin Jeon from about 30 yards out. Daniel Lee added the third goal and was assisted by Kyle Joe. Macon went up 4-0 with JD Owings second goal which was assisted by K.J. Jeon. Danial Lee added a second goal with 13 mins to play, which was assisted by Jonathan Kyser. Glenwood's lone gaol came off the foot of Patrico Nekrasas with nine mins to play. Macon-East improves to 4-2 and will play again on Tuesday at home against Pike.

Glenwood 's scoring came from Whitley Anderson (4), Karly Franklin (2), McKenzie Morefield (1), Terry Hodge (1), and Jenna Wilson (1). Macon-East scored their first goal of the season off a free kick by Ashleigh Worthington from about 25 yards out. Macon-East girls will play again on Monday at Prattville Christian.

Lee-Scott scored on a corner kick late in the first half which proved to be the game winning goal. The corner was taken by Ryan Rawley and the goal came off the foot of Joshua Hanks. Macon-East will play tomorrow against Glenwood School at home, at 4pm.

Lee-Scott scored 5 goals in the first have and four in the second half. First half goals came from Dongha Park with 2, Arthur Albuquerque with 2, and 1 from Jeung-Ho Choi. Second half goals came from Brackin Stewart, 2 from Cody Horn, and the last one from Amanda King. Macon-East girls next game is tomorrow at home against Glenwood School at 6.

Game was played at Macon-East. Macon-East got a scoring fest by Daniel Lee who ended up having a hat trick. His first came 15 mins in unassisted. The second goal came 25 mins in with the assist from Jae Song. A third goal was added off the head of JD Owings, on a beautiful corner kick by Trey Golson. Autauga' s Hank Sowell scored their lone gaol right before half, which gave Macon a 3-1 halftime lead. Daniel Lee's third goal came in the second half off a cross from Jim Kim. Macon-East improves to 3-1 on the season as Autauga drops to 0-1-1. Macon's next game is Thursday March 8th at Lee-Scott Academy.

Autauga took a 2-0 lead into halftime with goals by Anthony Antonelli and Lane Faulk. Kayla Gandy added a third late in the second half to give Autauga a 3-0 win. Macon-East got outstanding play from goalie Mason Estes, sweeper
Whitney Springer, and fullback Kelsey Godfrey. Macon-East girls are now 0-2 on the season and will play next Thursday March 8th at Lee-Scott Academy.

Macon-East vs Lyman Ward played at Macon-East. Final score was Macon-East 2, Lyman Ward 1.
Lyman Ward scored the first goal about 11 mins into the game, off the foot of Roberto Conde. Macon-East's defense held tight the rest of the first half. About 10 mins. into the second half Macon-East tied the game off the foot of Daniel Lee who was assisted by Trey Golson. Seven minutes later, Justin Kyser added Macon's go ahead goal. (Unassisted)
For the last 23 minutes of the game Macon's defense lead by Carson Jung and Trent O'Malley held tight to give Macon-East a big win over the defending state champions.
Macon-East's record is now 2-1, Lyman Ward is now 1-2. Macon's next game is tomorrow at home against Autauga Academy.
