Academy Family Picnic a Huge Success

On Monday, August 9^th, Macon East opened their doors for their first Academy Family Picnic. Over 400 people were in attendance that night to enjoy good food, great fellowship, and a sneak peek at school. Thanks to the crew manning the grills, hamburgers and hot dogs were done to perfection and were complimented by side dishes provided by Upper School parents and wonderful desserts and drinks provided by Lower School parents. After everyone had eaten, Macon East hosted their annual Open House and gave parents and students alike a chance to visit with their teachers for the upcoming year. Many thanks to everyone who pitched in and cooked, set up tables and chairs, or stayed around and cleaned up. A great night was had by all and it looks like we have a new tradition to start the school year at Macon East!
